What is used to manage pain at this level?
Tim Cridland – the man who can block out pain through sheer power of his mind. What type of hypnosis, and other techniques are involved with this? He claims that all of his nerves are normal, as any human, but through the power of meditation, self hypnosis, and other techniques, he’s able to take any level of pain down to about nothing. Watch and share your opinion, please. I’m curious about these methods.

Is "faith" a form of self-hypnosis?
Many religious ritual practices share aspects with techniques of hypnosis and self-hypnosis. "Faith" seems to have much in common with self-hypnosis, including a continual reinforcement of the positive message (whatever that might be) in order to block out any contraindicating events or factors in the outside world. This might be a good thing if viewed as self-help system. Or is it self indoctrination?

Can i make a manga like Naruto?
I want to make a manga and i want it to be about Ninja’s and Samurais. I just have to make a manga about that. I wont give my ninja’s modern clothes but i will give them old ninja clothes with different colors and some details. I will give them special powers like elements, that is japanese mythology so i can include it. My storyline and art will be totally different from Naruto, it will be much more serious, It will be more ninja like with Japanese culture and Japanese ninja villages. I will only include basic secret ninja techniques from Japanese mythology like: Cloning, Elements, Self hypnosis, Tai jutsu and Ninja tools like shurikens and kunai knifes.
Uhm i got the idea that since Naruto is so popular you get trolled over if you make a ninja show with folkore about Ninja’s. I think its stupid that people react like this :S
Are there any effective [mental] strategies that can help one become more enthused about / interested in life?
.
For the sake of the argument here:
I’m assuming the person already loves what s/he does for a living, knows how to have (and often has) fun pursuing his/her hobbies, has a loving pet/companion/partner/spouse, and volunteers his/her time to help others every chance s/he gets.
And no, I don’t mean with the aid of illicit or prescription drugs/vitamins & Minerals, and/or alcohol; psychotherapy; running for miles so that an endorphin-induced natural high could kick in; being saved by Jesus; or even practicing certain prescribed meditation techniques, like zazen etc.
I’m thinking something more in line with aromatherapy, self-administered music therapy, active visualization techniques, or self-hypnosis, but with longer lasting (and more potent) results.
Any suggestions?
Then again, maybe "Life isn’t everything"!
